Karen C. Koehmstedt , pronounced Kehm (rhymes with “them”) -sted (rhymes with “red”), is a life-long Washington resident. She grew up in Richland and graduated from Hanford High School in 1980. Her parents, Paul, a research scientist at PNNL, and Phyllis, a public health nurse, instilled Karen and her two older brothers with a deep sense of community and public service . Karen learned at an early age to be an active member of the community and to help others when needed. It was that philosophy which fueled Karen's passion for the law as a career.
